No. Per City Code of Ordinances Sec. 90-43 –Meters (A). All primary water meters furnished, read and serviced by the City shall remain the property of the City and shall be accessible and subject to its control.
You read your meter from left to right starting with the first digit that is not a “0”, reading all the numbers until the decimal point.
The City of Fort Myers has “Radio Transmitted Reading” which means that a radio signal is sent out every 4 seconds and when we pass by your meter the reading system picks up the read.
