What if I want to be a supervisor, but am not being developed after I make the request, what should I do?

a. Make an appointment with your supervisor and explain that you want to be considered for higher level positions and discuss what the next steps are.

b. Ask that you be given an opportunity to gain supervisory skills through an enhanced development plan that can be tracked in NeoGov Perform.

c. Ask your supervisor what the process is and if you need further assistance and information about this pathway, you can make an appointment to see Bill Thompson, who is the Organizational Development and Training Analyst for the CFM, located in the HR department. His contact information is on the Organizational Development and Training page of the Human Resources website.
