FORT MYERS, FL (Aug. 31, 2018) – The public is invited to attend a presentation of the Midtown Vision Plan on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, 2301 First Street, Fort Myers, FL. The Midtown architectural model and project display boards will be available for viewing at the meeting, along with a copy of the adopted comprehensive plan amendment. The Midtown Vision Plan’s area of focus is from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard south to Edison Avenue and from U.S. 41/Cleveland Avenue to just east of Fowler Street. The city partnered with the University of South Florida School of Architecture and Community Design on the project and received broad community member input on the plan, which is a part of the overall Fort Myers Integrated Downtown/Midtown Redevelopment Strategy to coordinate future growth.
