FORT MYERS, FL (Apr. 30, 2019) – Registration is open for both sessions of the city’s five-day junior golf clinic this summer at the Eastwood Golf Course, located at 4600 Bruce Herd Lane, Fort Myers. The first session will be held from June 17-21, and the second clinic will run from August 5-9, 2019. City of Fort Myers Golf Professionals Rich Lamb and Todd Brown will teach aspiring golfers ages 6-13 the fundamentals of golf, including rules, etiquette, chipping, putting and the full swing.
Each session limited to 40 participants. The 75-minute clinics will start with a 9:00 a.m. daily check-in at the Eastwood Golf Course clubhouse. Registration for the five-day session costs $60 and includes refreshments and range balls. Participants are welcome to bring their own equipment, and beginners can borrow equipment at no cost if needed.
The City of Fort Myers golf courses (Fort Myers County Club and Eastwood Golf Course) have been conducting Junior Golf Clinics for more than 50 years. These introductory classes introduce youth to a lifetime sport. “As a PGA professional, I’m focused on teaching life skills through golf; honesty, integrity, respect, confidence, good sportsmanship and playing by the rules,” remarked Rich Lamb, Director of Golf. “The overall goal is to encourage families to enjoy the game of golf together.”
