Florida Department of Environmental Protection to host monthly educational meetings

FORT MYERS, Fla.  (October 31, 2019) – In an effort to improve its communication with the regulated community, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) is hosting free monthly educational meetings. The first meeting takes place on November 6, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 2295 Victoria Ave., Fort Myers. Residents are encouraged to attend these monthly meetings to receive updates and share information.

Some of the topics for discussion at the first meeting include Sanitary Sewage Overflow (SSO) and Public Notice of Pollution, Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP), tips for submitting an ERP application successfully, and Facility Permitting. Developers, realtors, investors, engineering firms, contractors, environmental consultants, the public and other interested parties are encouraged to attend the meetings.

The next educational meeting is scheduled for December 4, 2019 at 2295 Victoria Ave. in Fort Myers.
