FORT MYERS, FL (July 28, 2018) – The City of Fort Myers is mourning the death of Officer Adam Jobbers-Miller, a valued member of the FMPD who lost the fight of his life late this afternoon. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and fellow officers who are suffering in the aftermath of this senseless and tragic loss.
We embrace Adam’s family and rally to their side as we look ahead. The citizens of Fort Myers have demonstrated their unyielding love and support this past week by staying at the hospital, giving blood, delivering food and praying for Adam and his family.
It takes bravery and commitment to serve as a first responder; men and women risk their lives daily to protect and serve our community. This is a devastating loss that affects our entire city. We grieve for Adam and offer our prayers and full support to his family, fellow members of the FMPD and the entire community during this difficult time.
