SBA Disaster Relief for Florida Residents

You may still apply for FEMA and Small Business administration (sba) assistance.

Application filing deadline was January 12, 2023*, for physical injury and June 29, 2023, for economic injury.

*If you missed the deadline of January 12, 2023, SBA has announced a grace period for application submission until January 26, 2023. Applicants must state a reason for missing the deadline along with the application. SBA and FEMA will accept applications after the deadline and grace period, provided that the applicant had a good cause for both missing the deadline and the grace period.

U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is Offering Disaster Loans with 0% interest and no payments for the first year for disaster-impacted residents of Florida.

SBA will waive the interest rate for the first year on new disaster loans and extend the initial payment deferment period automatically to 12 months. The extended deferment to 12 months is automatic and loan borrowers do not need to take additional action. The change is effective for all disaster loans approved in response to a disaster declared on or after September 21, 2022, through September 30, 2023. This also includes SBA disaster loans available for Hurricane Fiona and Hurricane Ian. SBA will notify existing borrowers who already received a disaster loan after September 21st, about eligibility of their loan modification and those borrowers will not need to submit a request to receive this automatic benefit.
