May 1, 2020 - The COVID-19 pandemic is having a deep impact on our city, nation and society as a whole. We are in unprecedented and trying times. It has brought many challenges for millions of people and has changed our everyday life as we know it. The pandemic has had a tremendous effect on businesses within the city and beyond. I want to let you know I am here for you. The city is here for you. We are all in this together and we can get through this together.

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who is fighting to keep our citizens safe. To all of the frontline heroes: Police Officers, Firefighters, everyone in the medical field, City of Fort Myers Employees and all essential workers. Thank you for all you are doing. We will never forget your strength, efforts and courage throughout this difficult time.
