Councilwoman Watkins Brown partners with O.B.O. Foundation to host back to school giveaway

OBO back to school supplies August 4

FORT MYERS, FL (July 31, 2019) – City of Fort Myers councilwoman Teresa Watkins Brown and the Opportunity Breeds Opportunities Foundation (O.B.O. Tools 4 School) are partnering to host a Ward 1 free backpack and school supplies giveaway. The event takes place on Sunday, August 4 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Centennial Park, 2000 West First Street, Fort Myers.

Event sponsors will give away free backpacks to the first 150 children, and provide snacks, haircuts, face painting, music and more. The O.B.O. Foundation was started by Los Angeles Chargers safety Jaylen Watkins, graduate of the University of Florida at Gainesville, and his mother, Brandy Greene Peterson, a Lee County School District teacher.
