Ward 2 Recent Developments
The City of fort Myers has been growing fast and we still have room for your development.
We've taken steps to improve transportation and access to some prime real estate in the City of Fort Myers.
Hanson Street Extension is now open. Eastwood Golf Course was renovated to accommodate the road changes. Golfers can now safely use a tunnel to cross Hanson St. The City of Fort Myers "Complete Streets Initiative" was followed as bicycle lanes and pedestrian sidewalks are included as part of the multi-modal transportation.
Rendering of Hanson Street Extension
Allowing the trades to move thru the city efficiently makes Fort Myers a great place to open a business. As a result, we can bring more jobs to our local workforce.
Final mile delivery has been accelerated in importance to the public as Ecommerce provided access to goods and services. To keep up with the demand for delivery within days or even hours, improving traffic flow and access to Interstate 75 meets the needs of the public. Opportunities for additional growth is largely due to solid design and investment into our roadways.
A Planned Urban Development (PUD) on Luckett Road near Interstate 75 has additional property for development. It is conveniently located near Camping World and can be built to suit the development. You can click above to see what types of developments are considered an option under the PUD.
Completed warehouse building sites with 3-phase electrical services are available for lease in the area as well.
Medical/Professional New Construction Opportunity
Fort Myers sits next to major medical, office, hotel, retail and other high traffic destinations. Located next to Hyatt Place, Regional Cancer Center, Promise Healthcare, Rasmussen College, and Keiser University, this property awaits the next great commercial development to nest in a growing area.
Smart growth enhances the quality of life. We create livable communities. The Interactive Development Activity Map has some of our recent development activity.
