Community Economic Development report from FIU

The City of Fort Myers has teamed up with Florida International University and Second Muse to complete a "Corridors of Opportunity" report to determine how to build wealth, community, and commercial development.  We are on a mission to empower entrepreneurs and strengthen neighborhoods.

We want impact investors to consider how to strengthen the commercial corridor. There is market viability in the area as we continue to grow in population.  There are accessible and visible sites available.

Do you own a site that you'd like to have considered for development.  Consider listing your project on Small Change. This site is dedicated to changing cities for the better.  https://www.smallchange.co/

Smart growth enhances the quality of life.  We create livable communities.  The Interactive Development Activity Map has some of our recent development activity.

Ward 1 has beautiful views of the Caloosahatchee River and easy access to Interstate 75 and conveniently located a close distance to downtown Fort Myers.  This is a walking community and very active and young population.   The Fort Myers Technical College provides additional opportunities to strengthen the workforce within this area.
