Homebuyers can obtain up to $35,000 to help purchase a home. You must income qualify per HUD Income Limits for Lee County, attend a home-buyer education class from a HUD approved Housing Counseling Agency, obtain a commitment for a mortgage from a lending institution, and you must live in the home. Assistance will be in the form of a no interest/no payment second mortgage on the property being purchased.
