All Fort Myers City government phone numbers are changing. The City is switching to a Voice Over Internet Protocol system that will save the City money by transmitting phone conversations over the existing data infrastructure. With the switch, all employees will get new phone numbers that will begin with the prefix 321. This includes the Police and Fire Departments (although 911 will not change). The project is being completed in phases and many numbers have already changed. The project is expected to be complete by August 29, 2008.

The new phone numbers are listed correctly in the new Embarq phone books and will be given if you dial 411. For a full listing of City contacts please visit the City Contact information page. Please check the number before you dial.
