Development Group Launches Tenant Search for the new McCollum Hall

Last Updated Jul 2010

(Fort Myers, FL: July 8, 2010) - The Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency (FMRA) and Urban Development Solutions (UDS) this week announced the launch of a three-month Tenant Marketing Campaign that will reach to more than 200 prospective retailers and restaurants - regional and national - to gauge their interest in “setting up shop” at the new McCollum Hall.

UDS, which has already begun the work of raising the $4.8 million in capital needed to renovate McCollum Hall, has so far targeted 100 potential tenants. The group is working with the FMRA to ultimately attract up to six tenants to locate McCollum Hall, once the renovation is completed. The building, which is located on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, is one of several redevelopment projects underway to help revitalize the area.

Inquiries may be directed to Michele Hylton at the Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency by calling 239-321-7097; interested parties are encouraged to register at the new www.developfm.ning.com website to receive on-going updates about the project.

With the exception of the Lincoln Park neighborhood, the district boundaries generally include the commercial properties from Evans Avenue to the City limits. The Fort Myers City Council members sitting as the Community Redevelopment Agency, oversee the FMRA and its operations.
