Pick-up begins at 6:30 a.m. Leave your bin at least 4 feet away from obstacles. Please contact the Sanitation Dept. for your day of service.
- Plastic containers or items with 1-7 label
- Glass bottles or jars (green, brown and
clear)
- Metal and aluminum cans
- Paper products, cardboard,
newspapers, magazines, phone books,
office paper and cereal/soda cartons.
No plastic bags

Pick-up is scheduled one day after your scheduled Curbside recycling day. Service is provided at no extra charge to residents. On your curbside recycling day, a tag will be placed on all electronic devices stating next day pick-up.
- Computers, monitors, televisions,
cathode ray tubes, VCR’s
and stereo equipment, printers,
desktop copiers, scanners, fax
machines, microwaves and
telephones.

| Commercial Electronics: This program is offered as an “on call basis”. This program is fee based. Contact the Sanitation Department to schedule collection at 239-332-6836. |
| Commercial Cardboard Recycling: This program uses a dumpster to collect clean corrugated cardboard. This program is fee based. The fee is approximately one -third of the monthly garbage fee. (4, 6 and 8 yard dumpsters available). |

Commercial, Multi-Family and Business Recycling: This program addresses the same basic commodities collected in the curbside recycling program. These items include food and beverage plastic containers, food and beverage glass bottles, jars, food and beverage cans. Also included are newspapers, telephone books and magazines. Service is provided at no extra cost. (90 gallon recycling container seen at right)

Three New Recycling Drop-off Center’s:The following locations are available for recycling.
City Pier – 1300 Hendry – Parking Lot corner of Edwards Drive and Hendry Street.
Lions Park – 2410 Cleveland – Parking Lot between ball field and tennis courts.
Evans Healthcare – 2826 Cleveland – Parking Lot at Cleveland and Linhart.
These recycling containers contain compartments for cardboard, paper, cans, bottles and glass. It is illegal to leave items outside of the container. Violators will be prosecuted. (Drop off center pictured at right)
The 3 R’s of Caring for Our Environment:
Reduce - Purchase items that are packaged in recyclable materials. This helps eliminate the items that are not accepted.
Reuse - Be creative. Turn an empty coffee can into a handy storage container for anything from buttons to bolts and screws.
Recycle - Conserve energy, landfill space, and natural resources.
