City of Fort Myers to Hold Fundraiser for United Way

Fort Myers, FL (September 11, 2008) – The City of Fort Myers is sponsoring the fourth annual “Chips For Charity,” a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament to benefit the United Way of Lee County. It will be held on Friday, October 24 at 6:30pm at the Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers. Everyone is welcome to participate! Cost is $50 for players, $20 for spectators. Dinner for all players and spectators will be provided by Outback Steakhouse of Cape Coral. A cash bar will be available. Chinese Auction items include gift certificates to local restaurants, theater tickets, weekend getaways and more! $20 rebuys will be offered to players for the first hour and professional poker dealers will teach spectators how to play.
