Fort Myers, FL, May 12, 2008 – The boil water notice that was issued on Friday, May 9, 2008 from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd./MLK south to Hanson Street and from Broadway east to Palm Avenue has been rescinded. The water is now safe to drink.

A news conference will be held Thursday, May 8th at 5:30pm to announce plans to revitalize and redevelop East Fort Myers. The planning area boundaries are: Caloosahatchee River to the north, Billy Creek to the south and west and Prospect Avenue to the east.
