The Dean Park neighborhood suffers from frequent, severe flooding due to its low elevation. An existing stromwater pump station is unable protect the neighborhood because water from Billy's Creek and the Caloossahatchee flow into the neighborhood during and after rainfall and high tides. This project will fund a drainage study of the problem, engineering and permitting of a solution, and construction of the recommended improvements. Project has FEMA funding for 75% of the total cost. |
