CALOOSAHATCHEE CELTIC FESTIVAL
Saturday, January 26, 2008

Celebrate Celtic culture along the banks of the Caloosahatchee River with music, and food, beverage, kid’s activities and craft vendors. The gates at Centennial Park will open at 10:30 am for seven hours of non-stop Celtic music on two stages beginning at 11:00 am.  Bring your blankets and/or lawn chairs and plan to join us. Admission is $4.00 and children under 12 are free.

 

SPRING EGG HUNT
Saturday, March 22, 2008

We invite all children up to six years old to join us at Centennial Park. Children will be divided into age groups and the Egg Hunt begins promptly at 10:00 am. Children must be able to walk on their own, parents will not be able to assist them. There will be a drawing for special prizes and a special appearance by the Spring Bunny! Children should bring their own basket to collect the eggs. There is no registration or fee required. Plan to bring the kids and enjoy a great day.

 

5K MEMORIAL DAY "RUN ON THE GREEN"
Monday. May 26, 2008

The 5K Memorial Day "Run on the Green" will be held at Eastwood Golf Course located at 4600 Bruce Herd Lane in Fort Myers just off of Ortiz Blvd. beside the Calusa Nature Center. Here's your opportunity for a one-of-a-kind trip through one of the City's finest golf courses. The route will take you through the "Back 9" and finish at the Clubhouse.

 

VETERAN’S DAY DANCE
Monday, November 10, 2008 

Put on your red, white and blue and join the City of Fort Myers Recreation Division and dance band “3 Hits and a Miss” to salute America’s Veterans with a dance at the Riverside Community Center. Featuring songs from the 1940’s to today, our 6th Annual Veteran’s Day dance begins at 7:30 pm with ballroom style dancing.  Admission is $5 per person and includes light refreshments and door prizes. Veterans and Active Duty personnel are admitted free!

 

HOLIDAY JOY AND JAZZ

Get into the Holiday spirit with the sights and sounds of the season at Centennial Park. Plenty of FREE kids activities include a snow mountain saucer ride, “Glice skating” rink, rock climbing wall, bounce house, hayride crafts and a visit with Santa. The lighting of the City Tree, performances of holiday favorites  round out the evening.  Join us for this great Fort Myers tradition.  Admission is free and the event begins at 3:00 pm. Bring your own blanket or lawn chair for seating.
