The City of Fort Myers owns two multi-level parking garages in the downtown business area. Both are equipped with security gating and attended during business hours or special events.
The Main Street Garage is located at the corner of Main and Jackson with entrances on Main and Second Streets. The two exits are located on Jackson and Main Streets.
The City of Palms Garage is located on Monroe and Bay with entrances on Monroe and Bay Streets. The only exit is via Bay Street.
Hours of Operation:
The Main Street and City of Palms garages are open daily Monday through Friday, certain evening hours and for special events. The hours are subject to change.

Garage Closing
The garages close on all National Holidays. The Parking Management Company posts signs at the entrance one week in advance prior to the holiday announcing intent to close.
Fees
The Main Street and City of Palms garages offer residents and citizens the option of a monthly or daily parking fee. The monthly parking charges were increased on December 1, 2007 to $50 tax included. Residents receive a Ten Dollar ($10.00) discount or pay $40 with proof of residency, for parking in the downtown garages. Businesses or employers may purchase monthly parking for at least 35 employees/tenants and receive a ten (10) percent discount off the monthly rate if prepaid for six (6) months. The daily parking fee for the first hour is $1.00, tax included. Each additional hour or portion thereof is $1.00 to a maximum daily charge of $5.00. The ten-hour meter charge is $.25 per hour.

Validation Stamps
Validation Stamps are available for purchase by business owners choosing to pay for client and customer parking in the garages. Each book contains 50 stamps and is sold for $53.00 that includes tax. Individual stamps are not sold separately. A ticket is pulled upon entrance to the garages, and upon exit the $.50 sticker, received from the business owner, is placed on the ticket and handed to the booth attendant.
