A press conference and brief presentation is being held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Harborside Event Center to showcase the City of Fort Myers recently acquired hybrid hydraulic powered solid waste vehicle. The presentation will be open to the media and public.
Receiving assistance from the Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) geared specifically toward Dunbar community small businesses inspired Lias Grocery Store owner Joe Louis Lias to do more than just make interior and exterior improvements—as a result of the CRA’s pre-construction audit, he chose to give back to his neighbors by donating 500 pounds of food to Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. (CCMI), that they in turn will distribute directly to the local Dunbar community.
