FORT MYERS, FL (March 27, 2017) – The City of Fort Myers is offering a pair of five-day junior golf clinics this summer at the Fort Myers Country Club. The classes will teach juniors (ages 6-13) fundamentals of golf, including rules, etiquette, chipping, putting, and the full swing. City of Fort Myers Golf Professionals Rich Lamb, Todd Brown, and Kari Phenix will teach the five-day clinics, which are limited to 40 juniors each.
Session dates are June 5 - 9 and July 31 - August 4, 2017. The 75-minute clinics will start at 9:15 a.m. daily.
Registration for a five-day session costs $60 and includes refreshments and range balls. Junior golfers are welcome to bring their own equipment, but beginners are welcome to borrow clubs at no cost if needed.

Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017, the Fort Myers Country Club is one of the oldest golf facilities on the west coast of Florida. The course was renovated in 2014. Since its renovation, “The Fort” has been named the Best Public Golf Course in Southwest Florida for two consecutive years by readers of Gulfshore Business magazine.
