About the Program
KOPS was created by Officer Dan Losapio in 2009. KOPS is for kids ages 11-13 (middle school) and participation is free of charge.
The program, similar to the Police Explorer program, is designed for middle school children ages 11-13. KOPS provides youth with an up-close look at law enforcement. The goal is to build positive relationships between police and the city’s youth and assist participants in becoming mature, responsible, peer leaders.
