Councilman Forrest Banks Forrest Banks was raised and attended public schools in Eustis, Florida. He attended The Citadel where he received his BS degree in Civil Engineering. After serving as a Lieutenant in the US Army, he worked as an engineer with the US Forest Service in Tallahassee, Florida; Ashville, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia.
Forrest Banks moved to Fort Myers in 1969 to work for a local engineering company. He later served as the president for 17 years. He was project manager for several large projects in the City of Fort Myers including Eastwood Golf Course, Centennial Park, and Metro Park.
Community Service Councilman Banks began his service on City Council in 2009. He is also the City's representative on the Southwest Regional Planning Council.
